The Dredge
“The Dredge” is a nine mile section of the Conewango Creek in New York State that was cut off and made into a man-made ditch during the late 1800s. Evidently, the thought at the time was that manipulating the creek in this way would make the valley bottom better for agriculture. The Dredge begins just east of Cherry Creek in Chautauqua County.

Great Summer Sports on the Dredge:  Fishing -  - Canoeing - - Kayaking
